If you've seen my Instagram you'd already know I'm obsessed with smoothie bowls. It's probably because I usually wake up pretty hungry and want something that's quick and easy for breakfast.
I have put together a blog post about my top tips for making smoothie bowls, although I haven't actually shared a recipe! This particular smoothie bowl uses my three favourite foods - raspberries, figs and peanut butter. The results are magic. Keep scrolling for the recipe.
BERRY SMOOTHIE BOWL
VEGAN | DAIRY FREE | GLUTEN FREE
3 ripe bananas
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1 teaspoon coconut sugar (or a sweetener of your choice)
Water, to blend
1/2 cup granola (I used The Belle General Granola I purchased while in Byron Bay. It's amazing, but not currently available online. Loving Earth's Buckini range is my other favourite).
2 figs, sliced
3 strawberries, sliced
Handful of raspberries, fresh or frozen
1 teaspoon peanut butter
1. Using a small handheld blender, add all the ingredients for the smoothie bowl base and blitz up until smooth. Add more water if the smoothie seems too chunky.
2. Transfer to a bowl and add the granola, fruit and peanut butter.
3. If you're a wannabe food blogger like me, now is the time to take a photo! If not, stir it all up with a spoon and dig in.
