The Sweet Meadow is a plant-based (vegan) café that opened in Echuca, Victoria in October 2016. Our vision is to build a healthier community through awareness of the connection between the food we eat, our health and living sustainably.
We are expanding our team and are looking for a full time chef/cook who loves healthy food, is passionate about wellness and respects our environment. Experience in hospitality is required for this role.
You must work well under pressure, multi-task and be a team player.
-Prepare and cook a range of plant-based dishes
-Assist the manager to design plant-based menus each season
-Achieve all hygiene and food safety standards
KEY SKILL INGREDIENTS
-Thrive working in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to work well in a team
-An eye for detail
-An understanding of food safety regulations
-Experience working in a commercial food premises is required (Australian recognised qualification in commercial cookery is ideal).
Please note, some daytime weekend work will be required (operating days are Thursday to Monday).
Please note - The Sweet Meadow is a vegan café. While you do not need to be vegan to join the team, we do ask that you to respect our values and avoid consuming animal products when you’re in the space. Same goes for smokers.
